Support the UW Center for Cooperatives

Strong cooperatives build stronger communities. At the UW Center for Cooperatives, we help people create and sustain cooperative businesses through research, education, and technical assistance. To do this work, we rely on a mix of funding sources including competitive grants, fee-for-service offerings and gifts from individual donors and organizations.
By giving to UWCC, you help:
- Support the creation of new cooperatives
- Provide education and training for cooperative employees and directors
- Advance research that increases understanding of cooperative business models
- Develop resources that strengthen cooperatives and local economies
- Expand access to workshops, conferences, and public education programs
- Foster innovative solutions to community and economic challenges through cooperation
Since 1962, UWCC has worked with cooperatives, community leaders, researchers, and policymakers to increase understanding of the cooperative business model and its impact. Through applied research, practical education, and direct support services, UWCC helps communities create and sustain businesses that are locally owned, democratically governed, and focused on community benefit.
Your generosity helps bring the Wisconsin Idea to life by extending university knowledge and resources to communities across Wisconsin and beyond. Together, we can build a stronger cooperative economy that creates shared prosperity, resilience, and community well-being.
